A digital place for people who access services, carers, staff and partner agencies, to share ideas around care co-ordination & care planning in mental health

Enhancing the Quality of User-Involved Care Planning in mental health services

#WeMHN’s next Tweetchat on Monday 12th October 8pm looks at care planning and explores why people continue to feel excluded from involvement in planning their care.

Enabling service user involvement in care planning is a principle enshrined by contemporary mental health policy and guidelines and a potentially effective method of improving the culture and responsiveness of mental health services in the UK. Yet despite the consistency of this political rhetoric, the majority of service users and carers continue to feel marginalised in the planning of their care.
